About Us

Little Children’s Aid (LCA) is an organization of women whose mission is to respond to the immediate needs of at-risk youth through fundraising and group service projects for Catholic Charities. LCA will be supporting the St. Joseph's Family Home this year and your support is needed as much as ever.

Founded in 1907, LCA initially provided for the children who were left homeless and orphaned by the San Francisco earthquake and fire. The original volunteer members were the forerunners of what is now Catholic Charities. LCA has evolved into an auxiliary of Catholic Charities to provide volunteer service and fundraising projects for Catholic Charities youth programs.

Catholic Charities St. Joseph’s Family Center is one of the few emergency family shelters in San Francisco offering housing and support services prior to transition into long term permanent housing. Children receive tutoring, parents and families participate in enrichment programs, parenting sessions, vocational training and career guidance. It is one of four housing facilities in SF dedicated to improving the lives of families during their personal struggle.

Make Friends, Help Others, Get Involved

LCA is always looking for new volunteer members to join our group and directly help the at-risk youth served by Catholic Charities. Members are encouraged to participate in the organization by attending one spring meeting and through assistance with service projects and fundraising events. Members are invited to bring their creative ideas for new projects to the group. All members receive newsletters and notices of each meeting and event of the organization. Employee Access, Training and Expectations -- Our organization values, ethical standards, policies and practices are committed to the protection of user information. In general, our business practices limit employee access to confidential information, and limit the use and disclosure of such information to authorized persons, processes and transactions.
How Can You Access and Correct Your Information? You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing us using the contact form provided to you within the site structure of our website.
Do We Disclose Information to Outside Parties? We may provide aggregate information about our customers, sales, website traffic patterns and related website information to our affiliates or reputable third parties, but this information will not include personally identifying data, except as otherwise provided in this privacy policy.
