Homelessness and Housing Services

While the crisis of homelessness can be devastating and compound challenges of instability and poverty, Catholic Charities is a beacon of hope for homeless and near-homeless families and individuals struggling to survive. Our programs in San Francisco and Marin serve diverse communities of formerly homeless individuals and families who are now sheltered and safe.

At the forefront of systemic change, we couple expertise with real-time problem solving that prevents family homelessness. Families and individuals receive respectful, compassionate assistance that transforms lives and creates pivotal stability through an array of services including access to family residential care, financial subsidies for rent, specialized counseling, intensive case management, parenting, budgeting, and enrichment classes for single moms, and collaborative problem solving with those we serve. We tap into the resilience of our clients and help give them freedom to focus on restoring stability and hope in other areas of their lives.
